Ze Anderson-Brown, MBA SHRM-CP, pHCLE, has 20+ years of business-based HR experience,
focusing her talents in the non-profit and K-12 arenas, including her current role as the
Executive Director of Human Resources with Lane Education Service District in Oregon
, supporting 19 Component School Districts comprising over 43,000 students and 2600
teachers. As the HR subject matter expert for Lane ESD, she focuses on operational and
strategic HR practices, including developing recruitment and retention strategies and the
infrastructure to support rapidly changing staffing needs in today’s classroom. Ze has her
master’s in business administration from Clarkson University, focusing on supply chain
management and human resources. While there, she served as President of the Student
Chapter of SHRM. Ze has been an active regular SHRM member since 2004 and has held her CP
certification since 2018. In addition, Ze earned her PHCLE accreditation in 2019. She is working
on making her Administrative Licensure as she believes it will help her better service the
students and their families, staff, and school board. Ze is a founding member of the Vermont
School Human Resources Professionals, Inc. and she brought VSHRP under AASPA’s umbrella.
She served two terms as VSHRP’s President, one term as Past President, and is now an
honorary life member. She continues to support VSHRP’s work through teaching and
mentoring. Ze is also an active Oregon School Personnel Association (OSPA) member.
