Avoid COVID Summer Slide Virtual Instruction Intervention Program

Research shows that summer, particularly during these times, can create a detrimental loss of student learning. From the lack of educational opportunities to simply forgetting info already learned, many students experience what is known as regression, or "summer slide." In this session, we will talk with Monica Portillo, MS, a teacher from Dallas ISD, as we explore options available to districts to mitigate summer slide. From prevention to remediation, educators can continue to support student learning, even during the summer.
