This session will provide school leaders with practical guidance on key human resources fundamentals, including performance management best practices, the do's and don'ts of managing employee performance, the progressive discipline process, and the importance of consistent, thorough documentation. Participants will gain strategies to address performance concerns proactively, navigate difficult conversations with confidence, and ensure employment decisions are supported by appropriate documentation. This session is designed to help school leaders minimize risk, promote accountability, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
