Substitute Professional Development: What Does this Look Like in the Future for our Guest Teachers?

We all share a common goal: to provide equal opportunities for our students to receive the best education they can during their school years. However, substitute teachers don't usually feel like they fit into this goal. Even if they do, they might not feel comfortable. At Lake County Schools, I got the chance to create a substitute program from scratch. By doing so, I was able to survey our substitute teachers and not just read their feedback but also listen to it carefully. I have improved our program to better suit their needs and help them become better substitutes for our students.
Recently, I designed a PD program for our subs called Substitute Teacher Boot Camp. What were my goals in doing so, and how did I achieve them? This webinar will cover the three significant aspects I wanted to incorporate into a professional development program for our substitutes.
