Job Description:

The Clay County School Board, Green Cove Springs, Florida, announces the posting for the position of full time School Board Attorney.  This position reports to the School Board and will be filled immediately upon completion of the interview and selection process.  The School Board attorney provides professional legal counsel and representation to the School District, including Board members, the Superintendent and senior staff.  The position requires the applicant to be a member in good standing and have no previous disciplinary action with the Florida Bar with a minimum of five (5) years experience practicing law.  Knowledge of school law, general law, administrative law, and established precedence and sources of legal reference are required. Applicants must have the ability to prepare cases and present material in a clear and logical form, both orally and in writing, after full analysis and gathering of facts. Ability to write contracts, policies, procedures and rules is required.  The salary range for the position is $125,000 - $170,000.
