Executive Board Nomination Information
It is time for the membership of AASPA to begin to think about the selection of nominees for the 2021-2022 Executive Board offices. The Executive Board establishes policies to supervise, control and direct the business of AASPA within the limits of and consistent with the Constitution and By-laws of the Association and applicable laws.
Nominees will be put forth for election by the membership and will take office officially at the AASPA Annual Conference in Washington DC in October 2021. The mission of the Nominations Committee is to reach out to the entire organization to solicit candidates for the office of President-Elect, Representative for Region 1 and Representative for Region 2. The nominees must currently hold the status as an Active (individual or Institutional Primary) member in AASPA. Nominees for Region Representative will work full time in the region in which they represent..
President-elect: Serves as a voting member of the AASPA Executive Board for one year assisting the president. The President-elect then serves as President during the following year and Past-president in the third year. In addition to board service the President-elect serves as the liaison for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
Regional Representatives: Serves a three-year term as a voting member of the AASPA Executive Board, assisting in the planning, implementing and evaluation of the policies, goals and activities of the organization while representing the wishes and needs of those in the geographical region. He/she will also serve as a liaison to the various committees.
The nominees from Region 1 must be from: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan
The nominees from Region 2 must be from: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Manitoba, Ontario
